Vince's Story
Life
My Spouse
Currently we are separated. After 22 1/2 years of marriage we had to go our separate ways. I wish it had never came to this, but sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them to.
My Pets
I always hated cats, but one of the women I work with told me that her husband had trapped 6 kittens in the back of the shop that he worked at. She described this little kitten that was black and white and had a white stripe going down his back. Something told me to go check the cat out and I did. I immediately bonded with this little guy and brought him home for my youngest daughter's 10th birthday. He is now a permanent family member. :)
I also have a German Shepherd (pedigree) named Nala. She has been my best friend for the past 2 years. The greatest thing about dogs is that they love you unconditionally and without predjudice. She is the best dog a man could ever have.

I was blessed with 2 of the most beautiful girls God could send. Both have dark hair like my wife and I. They are complete opposites in personality and looks. The eldest looks like her mom and the youngest looks like me. The eldest is short and the youngest is tall. :D
My Job
It is a public relations job. A lot of people will be surprised to realize that I am in prison...Oops work at a prison. :D I work at Pelican Bay State Prison in Northern California. I am a Correctional Officer, but prefer being called a Prison Guard. It has it's good days and it's bad days. But overall I enjoy what I am doing. Currently I am on temporary disability, pending possible medical retirement. I was attacked in 6/03 by an inmate and screwed up my left shoulder. I have underwent one surgery so far, and it has not helped. If the shoulder cannot be repaired to 100%, they may medically retire me from state service.
