Vincent's Story
Life
HI! Those of you who knew me, called me Vince. Today, I mostly answer to that. However, I'm also called by my birth name, Vincent, also Vinny, and those closest to me by my Italian name, Vincenzo. I answer to most anything, especially a call for lunch or dinner.
After graduating from Sierra, I went to Whittier College where I met my wife of the last 38 years. I persued a career in teaching for 13 years, then changed careers becoming a professional fund raiser. That career has been very rewarding for over twenty-five years. I have worked for some terrific institutions that include Whittier College, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and the House Ear Institute. I am now in business for myself (seven years)consulting with non profit organizations.
I have two daughters ages 37 & 34. Both have graduated from uni...Expand for more
versities. The oldest (Alisa) is in business for herself, owns her home, is married, and is the mother of our first grandchild, Ty Vincent. He is named for two legends: Ty Cobb, and you know the other! Sheis expecting our second grandchild in January 2010, a girl who will be named Kate. The youngest (Holly) worked for the governor of California for two years and has been working as registered lobbyistin Sacramento for over nine years.
Since I first wrote in 2004, Penny and I have taken wonderful cruises around the Hawaiian Islands, the Baltic Sea, and the British Isles. I still get back to Boston every year at least once. In 2009 we spent a week celebrating our 40th anniversary on Cape Cod.
