Vincent D. Humphrey Sr.:  

Wow how time flies. I know my graduating high school says Lakewood when in actuality I never spent a day there. As it turns out my high school years were distributed between Wilson (sophomore year), Hazen (Junior year), Poly (5 months in Senior year) and finally back to Hazen High School in Renton, Washington to graduate. With such a split up, my fondest days in school turns out to be those at Bancroft Junior High where the years were not fragmented. Since most of the people that I remember from Bancroft went to Lakewood High School, I adopted it as the high school that I should have went to. These days I am a father of 4 and an expectant grand-parent of my first grand-child in January 2009. My wife Debra graduated from Millikan in 1978 and we will be celebrating 24 years of marriage on July 21. We work hard and enjoy Christian ministry with young people. It seems there is an open lack of encouragement to do the right thing in the 13 to 26 year old age group. Well if you are a Lancer via Beaverland, you might remember me if you had Mr. Peters in band, Ms, Bensel in Algebra, or how about Mr.Baker in Student Council. If you are a Bruin, you might remember me if you had jazz band with Mr. Wiebel (I still have the dual vinyl albums the bands made in 1976). I was also in Mr. Huffmans Geometry class and Mr. Martinez's Spanish class. If you are a Highlander, you might know me from English with Ms Malone, History with Mr. Abbott, or Biology and the Boa with Mr. Pratt.
