Vincent's Story
Life
My Spouse
I was in the US Air Force, home on leave and on my way to Italy. I heard about our high schools 25th aniversary celebration and went to the dance. My wife who had a date and dropped him because he would not dress appropriately, was introduced to me by a mutual friend. I was about to leave when she grabbed my arm and said "So, ya wanna dance". We saw each other for a week before I left, wrote and called each other for 4 months, I flew her over to Italy where we were married. That was 20 years ago.
My Pets
We have two little muts. One thinks he is cat and sits on top of our couches or on my shoulder.
My Kids
My oldest son has been in the Army for almost three years, is a Sergeant, married with three children (yes...I am a grandfather) and is going to school to become an a...Expand for more
rchitect. This makes the fourth generation of military in our family. He is in Transportation,which was a tactical move (gives him lots of time for studing to be an architect). My Daughter is a Freshman at the University where I am the Fire Marshal She is studying to be a radiologist and was recently married. My youngest is also in the military. They will both be going to Iraq in the near future.
My Job
I have been the Fire Marshal for the University of New Mexico for the past 10 years. I spent 21 years in Fire Protection in the Air Force. I am responsible for the fire safety and emergency response program for the university. I also am a consultant in emergency response planning and training. My job is never boring and is so diversified, that I rarely get stuck in a repetitious program.
