Vincent's Story
School
Well, let's see. High school was just one step on the trip to being an adult. As I look back, I can say I thought most of it was boring, with little bursts of pleasure and other times wanting it just to be over. I enjoyed a lot of the friendships I made there, and had kept in touch with a very few people from that time in my life. I wasn't really college bound, but I had good enough grades to get out of there without any issues. Some classes were more fun than others, and that's pretty much a good summary of my time there. The one thing I remember most was my senior year I took classes at Richmond HS through the ROP program, and I only had like 1 or two actual classes. The rest of my time I spent ...Expand for more
being a TA. In other words.. I was waiting for it to end.
College
College was a time of confusion. I didn't even start going to college till a year after graduation. At the time I was working and going to school all without much direction. I eventually took up Cooking and finished the program at Contra Costa College through the Culinary arts Dept. I returned to school in 92 mostly for myself, and then again in 96 with a direction in computers or computer science. I found out that I hated programming and tended to like networking and hardware. I didn't complete the program, but did manage to learn enough to get me into my current position as a level 1/2 tech support engineer for the Federal Labor Dept.
