Vinetta's Story

In high school, I was known as Jean Hale. I tried to use my first name, but a boy who had gone to school with me for years, piped up in English class to tell the teacher my name was Jean. ivisions. Best job I ever had, until all the mergers took place. The bank now goes by Union Bank, owned by Japanese banks. So, I went back to teaching: infants through 2 years old. I enjoyed the children very much. In 2011, I retired. Now I don't have to force myself to get up and go to work ever day! Yeah! Only problem is the money-what else is new? My husband and I now live a few miles south of Yosemite National Park. We're getting used to the climate change and not having to go to work every day. The Bay Area was humid and cool, even in the foothill here it gets to 100 degrees in the summer and is dry. But, here we could afford to get the house we had dreamed of. Bye-bye apartment living: turn the TV up loud so we can hear it and no one complains.
