Virgie's Story
Life
I grew up in a children's home Buckner Batist Benevolences better known as Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas Texas. The schools I went to were Buckner Academy, Asher Silberstein, John B. Hood and Skyline High School, Eastfield Community College, and Sam Houston State University where I received a BS in Industrial Technology. I joined the military at the age of 19 and served nine years. Met and married my husband while serving at Barbers Point, Hawaii. We have one child. ilitary and stayed home to raise him. When he started school so did I. It took him a little bit longer to finish than it did me. I still have not worked. My husband probally wish that I would. Oh well, he should not have spoiled me. My hobby now is finding infomation and pictures of the kids that lived at the Orphange with me (1963-1975). I have four cats, who keep me on my toes,their swimming lessons are not going to well, but I still try.
