I live in Galveston and did not suffer from Hurricane Ike as much as many of my friends and neighbors, but I had a little under a foot of water in my house and lost my high school and college year books. icane, we love it. Before that, we wer e the typical inner loopers. We were drawn to old houses and no traffic. If we could just get Whole Foods, Central Market,some good restaurants, and now trees, Galveston would be perfect. Galveston is such a strange quirky place. I have actually met several Lee grads down here, but none from the same year - much earlier thank God.
