Virginia's Story
Hi, I am hoping to attend the next reunion, Much of the 4 years of High School remain in my memory, but not as the best time of my life! Like so many quotes from people saying "it is the best time of your life." Nope. Had a father that was ill and died when I was in school. And really the best time of you life is now when you are living it, enjoying it and being thankful for it! have just recently been asked to join the local Rotary Club on our island . We remain on Grand Manan Island , New Brunswick, Canada . With trip to the warmer south for winter break. George continues to do handy man work including helping with solar panels ( making and putting them up). carpentry etc. . I am busy in the spring ,summer , fall with making homemade soaps, chemical free creams and salves and selling them...Expand for more
at the Grand Manan Farmers Market. Not to mention gardening, Love to get my hands dirty!!
We have a wonderful blended family 6 kids ( actually 5 now as our youngest Bill died 3 years ago. ) And 12 grandkids, the youngest being 4 , Scattered from Pennsylvania to Arizona. With one just graduated and in the Air Force. He will be the 4th generation to serve in the military at one time or the other .
He even had a great grandpa in the Boer War and another great great grandpa in the Civil War. And the very odd thing is I have always been some one that treasured peace and anti gun. Hoping to attend our reunion which depends on timing and travel. Have been in touch with Marianne Haverly. We see each other winters when we are S.C. as she and her husband live in N.C. right across the border !
