Virginia's Story

Virginia is from South Ozone Park. She is single. Her schools include Delehanty High School. She later attended St. John's University (Liberal Arts, Philosophy). She works(ed) at SonCoast Community Church. Virginia's interests include Gardening, Panettone, Walking, Baseball, Football, Basketball, N.Y. Yankees, The NY Giants, Miami Heat. Music she likes includes André Rieu Music, The Doors, Charlie Parker - Verve Records. Books she likes include 1899: L. FRANK BAUM's OZ-Inspiring Macatawa Park, The Kennedys: Photographs by Mark Shaw, MS - Living Symptom Free. Movies she likes include Madea’s Witness Protection, Unstoppable Movie, Beasts of the Southern Wild. TV shows she likes include Lifetime Movie Network, The Soul Man, Down Home with The Neelys. One of Virginia's favorite quotes is:""We can’t solve problems for others. We can introduce them to the Lord." -Corrie Ten Boom Something important for me right now to remember: "The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places." (Habakkuk 3:19) I'M CLINGING TO THIS PROMISE! We're here to help each other make it to heaven! (Virginia says...:) My life scripture: "We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19) "You don't know how bad you are until you try really really hard to be good." (C.S. Lewis) "It's not about winning, because when the game is over the king and the pawn both go in the same box." (Anonymous Sage) This I know is true: "Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness...Expand for more
es, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:8-10) It's important to understand this correctly: When I have trials or weaknesses, I cling to God Who makes me strong to endure. Being close to God is where I find my strength, and makes it possible for me to go through whatever life dishes up, because on my own strength I can do nothing!". More about Virginia:"What can I say... I'm uniquely simple and complicated. Getting to know me is an adventure. In my colorful past, I've been a small business owner (nail and skin care salon), paralegal, client services director, and real estate salesperson. Today I work part-time at my church ~ semi-retired due to Multiple Sclerosis. I participate in Celebrate Recovery (a Christ-centered recovery program for healing from life's hurts, habits and hang-ups). When I'm able, I play piano - a special love of mine that's more of a challenge these days, due to MS. Nevertheless, I have a joyful spirit because God is awesome to help me through the difficult days. I praise Him in the storms of life, just as I do in the best of times. Yup... I'm a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, growing and maturing daily in my faith walk, loving every minute of life while looking forward to a very real place called Heaven. Can you dig it? That's all for now. Over and out! Oh... and one more thing. I love the sunflowers! And four more one more things: I love to cook, especially to conjure up or try out new, untried dishes; I'm a voracious reader; I LOVE TO WRITE; and... I love and appreciate two things especially in friendships/relationships: transparency and spending time together. That's all for now!... at least until I get the inspiration for some more "one more things." ;)".
