Life
A wonderful surprise in 2007... My book won a "Golden Quill Award," presented by the American Authors Association in November. As a result I am scheduled to meet with Congressman Dan Lungren, he is in favor of adult stem cell research and wants to talk to me about my book. Now that is news!!!
The age old question, where has the time gone? Each of us have been living our lives in a variety of ways. I have been and always will be a blue collar worker, although I only work part time now!
My big deal in life besides having my children has been surviving cancer, twice. I had Hodgkin's lymphoma of all things and the second time around I had to have a stem cell transplant inorder to kill the cancer. I was fortunate and able to use my own stem cells for this process, something few people know is possible. ave a website and I am listed through my publisher Lumina Press. They have it in the bookstore under memoirs. My doctor has told me I am cured and I am forever grateful.
I have two children, both of whom are now grown up and each very successful. My som is a Hewlett Packard executive with a title I don't understand. He travels all over and is a proud parent of three boys. My daughter is a school counselor receiving her Masters in Couseling this December. She has also been accepted into the doctorate program. She has two girls and one handicap boy who is doing quite well. I am really proud of each of them.
Reed & I are still married, even after we demolished and re-built our kitchen. Now that can do all kinds of damage to a marriage. But the kitchen is finished and nobody got hurt. We vowed to have a good time and there were days when that was very difficult to do, but we are still laughing and smiling. Life is very good.
