Vivian's Story
Hello all! There's so much to tell since graduating High School almost 30 years ago. To make a long story short, I currently live in Dumfries, VA. I got married in February 2006 and my husband is now retired from the Air Force after serving nearly 25 years! Luckily for me I met him at the tail-end of his career so i was not up and moving every few years. Most of you know my son Luis, who is now 19 and will be 20 in June. My husband and I have 2 girls, Miranda, 7, who is in 1st grade and Adriana, 5, who is in Kindergarten. Since leaving Brooklyn in 2005, we made Virginia our home and here for the most part, I guess, we will stay. After a luxurious career as a Legal Assistant, I settled now to work for the Board of Education where I'm a Secretary at one of our local Middle Schools. Love the holidays, especially the summers!!!! ill waiting for that to happen. Hopefully my prayers will be answered soon. I still visit my family frequently through the year and I truly do miss home. Like they say, you can take the girl out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the girl. I still get teased for my "accent", but i met more New Yorkers here in Virginia and we have a great relationship! On a sad note, I lost my Mom in Sept. 2010 and to this day it's still a tough loss and I miss her dearly. I know that everyday she is watching over my children and watching her take her last breath on this earth was a blessing. I know that one day I will see her again, but as I walk this Earth ~ I live each day as it was my last...I live by the following philosophy "TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED"! All in all, my kids, my work and everything else in between keep me plenty busy and it keeps me out of trouble! xoxoxo
