Vivian's Story

I married my junior high school sweetheart, Steve Thorson, and we have one daughter, Vanessa, who is now 25. Steve and I divorced in 1993 and I put my efforts into my career and motherhood. In 1999 I was able to retire from Microsoft (with a little "r" so no float planes or private island purchases in my near future :). I went back to school and in June of 2005 and received a degree from the University of Washington in American Studies.

esolution Center of Snohomish County to become a mediator in 2005. It's a great way to rack up some interesting volunteer hours and the mediations I do in my private practice (vivianscottmediation.com)are always interesting. I do a lot of family cases and this past year wrote a book on workplace conflict ("Conflict Resolution at Work For Dummies").
I have a condo in Scottsdale, Arizona so I often zip down for a long weekend or a fun trip with the girls. I love to read, garden, and look for spontaneous and interesting things to do (does that sound like an old lady or what?!?!). I think I'll quit before I get myself in trouble here. Drop me a line!
