Vivian's Story

Life I am married. I met my husband at Brooks Brothers in the Fashion Center. We got married July 27,1985. We lived in North Bergen for a while. It was great. It over looked the park on 79th St. Afterwards, I gave birth to a great son his name is Jon. Just like his father. We moved to Oradell. We lived there for 18 yrs. My son and I appeared on MTV. True Life Surviving High School. I was also interviewed by NBC newsperson Roseann Colletti. That was interesting. I also aparticipated in Paramus Scholarship Shows. I did that for 5yrs. When we were in High School, I did not even know that existed. But anyway. I was reunited with some of our classmates. I had a lot of fun. When I had just turned 38 one month later I had a heart attack. Bummer. I smoked cigarettes and drank a lot of coffee. All for the stupid reason of loosing weight. Well I did. Went down to a size 8. It was a big price to pay for the sake of vanity. I"m happy now at a size 12. Health has not been on my side. I have MS. I have had 4 back surgeries. But you know what? I never let any of it knock me down. Everyday I wake up with a smile on my face. Happy I have two of the greatest guys in the world in my life, Jon and J...Expand for more
on. Life is good. I am always ready to hear a good joke, and then come back with one of my own. I now live in a beautiful building in Hackensack. It's not Oradell or Paramus. But then neither one of them is like Hackensack. Living here brings out the city girl I use to be. I Love It. I think about some of you. Wondering what your lives are like now. I hope to hear from you all. Growing up in Paramus most of my school life was certainly an education it self. I thought living in NYC before Paramus was a learning leason it self. Then I came across the bridge and met all of you. What memories I have. Some good some well what can I say. I think we all learned what we did, good or bad. I'm sure some of you feel the same way I do. If I only did????????? I worked most of my life after graduating starting from Stop and Shop to being a buyer for Evan Picone. Not bad for not going to college. But in the long run, I wish I had gone to college. I traveled a lot. Not so much now...but life is not over yet. It's just beginning. After all, we have only be out of High School for 30yrs. I'm still young and so are you. It's our kids that are getting older. See you all soon. Vivian Milano nee Stratos
