Life After high school, I went on to study Electronics in West Virginia. After West "by gosh" Virginia, I enrolled in the Electronics program at Rowan Tech and began work in Cannon Mills. I became eligible for Uncle Sam's Selective Service Army after being classified 1A. I just knew I was headed to Vietnam. Then came the draft lottery and my number was 307. I was never called. I continued working in Cannon Mills, bought a "muscle car" and hung out on West Avenue. You know the place, it was commonly referred to by the older generation as "Idiot Circle". I wasted many dollars on cars and tires, was lucky enough not to ever get caught street racing. I thank God that I never caused an accident while street racing.
