Life
I have been living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia for 4 years, working for their state oil compnay, Saudi Aramco (the biggest oil company in the world). I work as Sr. Trainer for the Fire Department(the biggest industrial Fire Dept in the world with 1400 firefighters and 43 fire stations). Prior to coming to Saudi Aabia I worked 20 years as a Firefighter-Paramedic in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Life is amazing here with great social (yes even hard core partying) and sporting activities available (you wouldnt think that would you!!??) My favorite reason for being here (other then the $$$$+++) is the...Expand for more
travel. During the past 4 years I have travelled to over 30 countries to all corners of the world. I hope to rake up 3 or 4 new countries every year for the next 5 or 6 years that I plan on being here.
Still I make it back to Canada about once ever 9 months.
Well, its 8:00 am and the sky is blue, the temp is 30 C (hey its still only March), I am supposed to go SCUBA diving in the Persian Gulf this morning BUT because I dived there yesterday I think I will go play hockey (YES ICE HOCKEY) in Khobar instead, this way I can have more time to relax around the swimming pool.
