Life
My X-Spouse
I met my Spouse at a music practice session held at a potential pianist musician's home. A totally unexpected meeting. A 'he knew a friend's who knew a friend that went to see another friend's sister' type thing. !! It was awesome the first 5 years..BUT later in the marriage it was not good- he was a drug addict & pusher, and became abusive(I can now admit he inflicted years of physical/mental abuse)..I got laid-off from work in 2001 and went back to college- got my Bachelors & Masters in 2006.. all while working 3 jobs, supporting the family and raising 2 daughters...but TO TOP IT.. after 29 years this abusive marriage, HE quit... quit working in 2003 (he decided he wanted to be classed 'disabled' and live off the Government), found a girlfriend (adultery) & moved in with her(she now supports him), Then HE filed for divorce the day after our 29th anniversery July 2008. WoW, I am single again. But I forgive him and pity him for his sad lot in life. God's will, not mine.
My Pets
Allie- Black poodle/Pom mix- runs the house
Mighty Dog- BIG white mutt Rescued from abuse- Loves me unconditionally, undeniably loyal and is Afraid of storms.
2 turtles- 'Turtleness" & 'Lucky" both are 22 years old!
My Daughters
Stephanie- ,Attends Texas A&M-Commerce, TX, Top 3 of her class, Ms.TX Nat'l Teenager Scholarship Pagaent- Placed 1st runner-up and was awarded Scholarship to Univ. of Charleston. Now mother to my first grandchild- Aiden Levi Hayes. Now back in college at Texas A&M-Commerce . AWESOME, Steph!

I graduated Cum Laude from Texas A & M-Commerce with both a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy AND a Masters of Business Administration. Attended
Univ. of Southern Mississippi, MS and completed Economics Thesis at Kings College, London, UK.

School
In High School, Dr. Pate (drama teacher) was my biggest inspiration. IN Jr College- Dr Marcia Adam- British Lit- in her words ' DO NOT Regurgitate my words- speak for yourself!" . In the University, three or four professors really stand out- Dr Wendell Edwards- Head of Accounting Department (very intelligent and caring person)- gave me the BEST advise " start with 1 or 2 classes and NEVER quit", Dr. Bobby Carmichael- The TAX god (it was a torture the student thing- NO ONE made an 'A' in his class but IF you survived, you could pass the CPA exam-- and I DID!) Next was Dr Ahmed - Sales and Marketing (he taught me that Sales is NOT Marketing- He hated salesmen "they rip you off- just rip you off"). Dr. Olibe inspired me to never give in to cultural harrassment (of which he handed out in every class) and Mrs. Fullwood gave me encouragement without comprise ( which meant complete her work first then any other professor's). BUT my biggest inspiration was Sherry Humphries- the Secretary of the Accounting department- she would NOT let me quit, although I tried to withdraw 5 or 6 times.. she just tore up my withdrawl slips and told me to get my butt to class and don't be late-- I LOVE that woman!
