Ward's Story
Life
After High School at Windsor Forest I went to Mercer University in Macon where I met my wife, Gerrie Ann in my junior year. I was finishing up a Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Tech when we got married four years later. We have lived in Atlanta the 16 years we have been married and have two children, a dog, a cat, and some fish. I have been working with BellSouth for the past 15 years in the Science and Technology department and am currently VP of Operations and Services Development. I manage a group of 300 engineers that build operations systems for our data deployments. A few years after I got married I went back to school and got an MBA from Georgia State and then spent six months at Fort Gordon SOBC in Augusta as part of my Reserve commitment. Regan, is 10 and in 5th grade. My son, Connor, is 7 and is in 1st grade. We love to go snow skiing in winter and spend the summers covered in SPF30 sun screen on the lake. If you have seen my hairline lately you would understand the sun screen comment, sparse is being generous. Regan's big accomplishment this summer is learning how to cross the wake on her slalom ski. Connor got a dirtbike for his birthday (a little 50cc) and I just recently got a 250cc so I can go ride with him ;-) Regan takes ballet and I coach both their soccer teams. I teach a young married Sunday School class at church and am currently serving as a deacon. Gerrie Ann is very involved at the kid's school and church and spends the rest of her time making our house a home. God has truly blessed us.
