How about you?
I am currently the GM of Orchard Lake Country Club in Orchard Lake, Michigan. I've been in the hospitality industry my whole life, and i love it.
I'm living in Royal Oak which is always interesting because of the eclectic mix of personalities that always seem to be walking about. I love the restaurants there as well. It's a city that continues to reinvent itself.
I learned to play guitar when i was forty and i managed to do some 'open mic' nights in Dick O'Dowd's in Birmingham. THAT was terrifying and very exciting. I still play and keep adding, then subtracting, guitars. I'm always interested in expanding my musical knowledge. Does anyone play out there?
I've been an avid chess player for thirty years. I've played in many ...Expand for more
tournaments around the states but the US Open was the most exciting. I still play a lot... too much... on line. It's my 'mental recess'.
I've not really seen any of my old classmates since the 20 year and 25 year reunions. I'd really love to catch up with anyone interested. I was a bit of a loner in high school, (the brooding poet) but i have quite a few fond memories in otherwise tumultuous teenage years.
Graduation proved to be my liberation. I felt like i could fly after leaving school, and i managed to travel a great deal. As my first paragraph says, i just keep finding more adventures.
Anybody feel like reflecting on "all those years ago"?
I'd love to know what's going on now in your life. We never know where we'll find our insight, and maybe reconnecting is that opportunity.
