Jeri Lynn's Story
Life
My Pets
Three female cats and two female dogs, I swear they are in heat non-stop! The noise drives me crazy.
We also have fish, one month the guppies multiply and we have hundreds. We sell some to a pet store and the remainder die. Then we go back to the pet store, buy back a dozen and the cycle begins all over again. Our nine year old says we shouldn't give any away, but I just know that they will multiply and multiply and none will die again.
My Kids
Three of my children were born in Australia. They are all older and have one foot out of the nest (well mom is really pushing). They range in ages from 26-17. The oldest one flew the coop and joined the Air Force for 4 years. When he came back he had his girl friend in tow. They both have been campling out in the spare room for 3 years.
I can't figure out how to make them leave home, so I have decided to leave. I am in a partnership with someone in Kentucky and I will move back there. In this move...Expand for more
I gain my 4th child, a nine year old boy. He is going to put me thru my paces for sure.
And I am the woman who was never going to get married and for damn sure NEVER have kids!
My Job
I teach Computer Science classes, Journalism, oversee the Homework Center and in my spare time am the Technology Resource Person and techie. I love my job! But I am going to retire this year and take up a little less stressful and hectic job in Louisvile.
OK I wrote that a few months ago. You know that old saying... never say never??? Well things have changed now. I still 'retire' June 14th but I started back at University and taking more courses that well could end up with a Phd! I just haven't figured out how to stop and rest. But I decided that I want to teach at the City College or University level in my old age. Someone has to teach these incoming teachers what life is about in the classroom! Besides that doesn't have to be full time! So I will be retired... sort of!
