There are winds of change at the end. Children Warren Jr., Karl and Tricia have taken over the business in Florida. Warren jr. is working with a city water department in Florida. Karl the entertainer recently in Footloose and CATS on Broadway in NY, and for many seasons now he is entertaining crouds nightly on the Disney ship Wonder sailing in the Carribean. Tricia was for many years one of the Kids of the Kingdom at Walt Disney World entertaining millions of happy tourists on the stage in front of Cinderella's Castle. At Christmas right after September 11,2001, she went to NYC and entertained thousands and thousands of pilgrims to NYC in the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular in the Radio City Music Hall. Besides the business she still takes time out to please the crouds at Sea World at special events. Who Me? I did my student teaching at Wheeling HS and decided I would starve to death so I went into packaging art. Most everybody in the United States saw my artwork everyday in their lives for about 30 years. Unfortunately it was blowing down the streets in the wind. Remember all the styrofoam containers for Mc Donald's and other fast food places and paper cups and boxes and milk cartons, bread bags, pop containers, and tons of other future garbage. Sad as it is, I did the art for the bullet bags and the body bags for the military for use in Viet Nam. Those were the old days.

(UPDATE: September 2002) This year, 2002, brings new and exciting performances from Karl and Tricia. If you missed Tricia performing in the Rockettets Christmas Show in New York, you will be able to see her in the Christmas Spectaculer Show in the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Florida the entire Month of December. Karl will be one of the few men ever to perform in the Christmas Show in Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular Show in New York City featuring the Rockettes. (UPDATE: October 2009)Single and living back in Arlington Heights. Painting, photography, writing, and Board Member of the Arl. Hts. Historical Society keep me busy for now.

rced and I must pass on that my ex-wife, Pat, passed away from a bout of Cancer. It attacked fast and mean. She is at peace now and the Family has healed.
My big news is I finished writing a novel I started 8 years ago and it is now available through Amazon and Amazon Kindle for you electronic reading people.. Just enter my name in the Search Bar at the top and the book will show up. It is "The Tale of Santa Claus and the Two Identical Snowflakes." I will tell you this is not your typical Santa story. With the destruction of the North polar Ice cap, melting and breaking up, countries claiming it as theirs, Santa is in danger of losing his "home and workshops. everything." He is also planning retirement and you will learn about how his replacement is chosen. Find out what happens to Santa in the 21st Century.
A comment from a reader: The Tale of Santa and the Two Identical Snowflakes is actually a book within a book. I really liked that the story in the outer shell pulls Santa into our 21st century climate dilemma, and that Santa comes up with a surprising way of handling things. The inner story is magically old-fashioned, and Santa shares for the very first time how he became Santa to begin with and how the next Santa will come to be. Though The Tale of Santa and the Two Identical Snowflakes is aimed at 10- to 12-year-olds, I as an adult enjoyed the tale myself.

Here is the update for August 12, 2018. It has been over a year since I had a stent inserted into a blood vessel on my heart. Healing has been slower than anticipated, but that is good because the healing is good. Time that I mention that going on 8 years I have been running a Facebook Page " Growing Up In Arlington Heights, IL " and it is all about just what the name reads. Take a look, Add something. Just look around.
Lastly, my children's novel "Santa Claus and the Two Identical Snowflakes" is still available on Amazon.com. Each day new information comes out about the decimation of the northern polar ice cap (That is where Santa has his facilities located.) The latest is the killing of arctic animals by cruise ship employees clearing the way for tourists to wander around. It is sickening. Get your copy before the holiday rush. Should brighten your day and hopefully brighten the young people in your life. You can say, "I know the guy that wrote this novel."
