Wayne's Story
Life
Unfortunately I was drafted time we graduated and went straight to Viet Nam. I got hung up on the military and stayed till I was medically retired in January '85. I bought a home here in Vine Grove Kentucky when I returned from Gemany in '76 and just settled in. Since I retired from the military I got involved with the American Red Cross Diaster Response Team and have been lucky enough to travel an awful lot. I left the Red Cross in '89 and took up the position as Senior Deputy Coordinator for Hardin County Diaster and Emergency Services (DES)as a Hazardous Materials Specialist. I semi retired from DES in '98 and now do consultant work for the local fire departments and different industries. I was elected to the office of Constable in 2001. When ever I get a chance to I take off to the lake for some serious camping and fishing and even a little shinny dipping when the sun goes down....LOL. I am part owner of an alternative life style lake side resort where everyone can let their hair down and just go for what ever their desires are. Workplace
Since my retirement from the Army back in '85, I took a position as the Disaster Emergency Response Chairman for the American Red Cross for a 6 county area. That opened another great door for me. I was appointed as the Disaster Emergency Services Coordinator for Hardin County government, and later became the senior Hazardous Materials Tech. I wanted a new challenge so I left county government and was trained as a firefighter for the local fire department where I live in '92. The fire department sent me to EMT-B classes in '93. I couldn't keep out of politics so in 2000 I ran for election and won the race for County Constable for my district and was reelected in 2004. In 2002 three friends of mine and myself bought 200 acres at a lake close by and opened up a private nude resort(by invitation only)and on selected days is used for alternative life style entertainmant(by invitation only). In my spare time I try to do a little fishing and take it easy....LOL.
