Wayne's Story
Life
My wife, Nancy, and two children moved to Long Island in 1996 after being on strike against the Detroit Newspapers beginning in 1995. I had been at The News (as a sports copy editor in my last position) since just before graduation from Eastern Michigan in 1978.
I was hired as a sports copy editor at the New York Daily News, and moved to Newsday (on Long Island) as an assistant sports editor in 1998. It's a good life.

2 years, has an extended family in Michigan (she's a Warren Mott grad) and misses home more than the rest of us. My children (Sarah, 18, and Billy, 17) still enjoy visits to Michigan, but are content with life here.
I'm not sure I can make the reunion, but have to admit that with 30 years having passed, I'm curious to see how some people have changed ... and how much they've stayed the same.
Hope it's not too much of a shock, for any, or all, of us.
