Wayne's Story
Life
I don't even know where to begin, after high school I went to Florida and worked construction as a carpenter. I worked on the west coast of Florida from 1973 through 1984 and from Sarasota down to Fort Myers. During that time I built condominiums and hospitals, I did concrete form work, metal stud framing, hanging and finishing drywall, and site layout. In 1982, in the Fort Myers area, I took a job as a assistant superintendent on a condominium job. In 1984 I relocated to Miami to build a helicopter pad at the Miami International Airport. Upon completing the helipad, I'd took a job, as a superintendent, with a top 100 construction management firm named CRSS Constructors. n the Caribbean on the island of Barbados, its name was Sandy Lane Hotel, this is where Tiger Woods got married a few years back. From there I was transferred to Lexington Kentucky to build two courthouses, during this time I met my future wife. When it came time to be transferred again, my wife informed me that we were not going to relocate and I needed to find work locally. I went to work for local general contractor in Lexington in August of 2002, I am still working for that contractor. During the course of this employment I have built a Baggage Screening Facility at the Bluegrass Airport for the TSA, the Transportation Cabinet Building, the Lexington Diagnostics Center, Idle Hour Country Club, the University of Kentucky's Basketball Practice Facility, and I am now presently building the University of Kentucky's College Of Pharmacy. I reside in Richmond Kentucky, this is located 20 miles south of Lexington just off of Interstate 75. We have one bird, one cat, and four little dogs.
