Life ::
( Deborah bursby/terry my wife ). Is a Gold Member here--I started 1st to 3 rd at Ballard mo.,,,was a lot of keirsey relatives in the area in the old days,,lived a mile south of Ballard at the time
From the 4th grade to junior in
high school was in adrian mo.
My senior year was in hume mo,
where I graduated in 1964.
Except for 3 yrs I have lived in the bates/vernon counties area.
Between the US Army and the Kansas n.g. I retired with 25 yrs
6 mo. and 11 days as a Staff Sgt
Served with the 1/46,,ground pounder
I served with the 3rd/14th
armored Cav ( recon ).
I served at Plesanton ks.,
Poloa ks., 18th st Kansas city, ks., Olatha ks.,In the 1st/127th
Field Artilery, And finished
my tour of duty in fort scott ks.,
891 Eng (combat).
I've encouraged others to seek their dream,, in all of life and those interested in country music,,I love all kinds of country music--its where this country started from in the stone ages before any of us were born
I have worked in whatever it
took to make a living, When I got
home in 1968 a vet could't get a
good paying job, "REAL JOB" If their was no one to help you.
4 marriage's, 3 divorces, 3
children by my first wife, brought into a screwed up world.
Between us there are counting,,24 grands,,as well as the 10 kids that brought the Xmas/Birthday nightmare to light, trying to remember B-day dates of who or whom. Trying to keep them on the calendar is a must,,,the remembering to read the calendar is where a problem can be
All in all my life has pretty much sucked,starting over at least 4 times, for real and probably more if it wasn't so depressing to even think about.
but things are looking up...Grounds paid for, old tra-house is too
I plan on total retirement on
8.7 A of land in vernon co. sometime in the next few years. Doing a partical retirement this Dec 08 which puts me into part time status for the little extra's such as gas and propane and hope enough left over to eat.<<doing the partial retirement still in sept 10, need ever penny,,can the gov tell me why???
we both enjoy spending as much time together as we can. We've started doing Day trips this year, very few overnighters..

Workplace::
Drove all sizes of commercial trucks, Just enough to enjoy it and be tired of it.
Worked on different types of farms, Done just about anything you can think of on those farms, which is where i'm at now.
I've sold new/used cars/trks. pots and pans.wal-mart.
tire shops, recaping shops,filling stations, truck stop, pitza hut, drove wrecker and service trk and done things like wiring houses, plumbing, valknizing tires,,roa...Expand for more
d grader,dozer,backhoe, combines,,big 4-wheel drive tractors and heated/bent and welded things back together<hoping it holds> this is just a few of the things i've done since i started mowing yards in 1956, started bucking hay in 1960 plus about the half a life time with the military.
I'm on about a 1,900 A. multi purpose farm where beef is the main course. Its been a 24/7 job with live away bosses, Love my job but ready to semi-retire due to little time off, waiting for a boss to move in and take the helm this year or early next. Steve showed up June of 2010 and wishes to run a tractor/Dozer, I have no problem with it,,at 64 next month a personal life is more important than this job.

We as a people depend intirely to much on our elected officals,,look where we are now. All the greed for money and power in this country,banks, car industrys,Il-allien's, savings and loans, just to name a few as well as maybe some of the people we put in power over us,,we as a nation just keep being put in the drivers seat to bail their greedy ass's out and now all of our great and great-great grandkids are going to have to bail this country out of the mess were in now,,good luck.
We now have everybody screaming for their rights,,good for them,,what about our rights,,Is it fair to asume all our rights are going to be lost to people with godless intentions..beginning to look that way.
I can't even imagine wakeing up next to george, stating good morning dear<<<SICK>>>. I'll be bold here,,on this farm if a cow doesn't reproduce,,she's a cull,,,Does this mean all guy/gall couple's are cull's? Them raising kids in that inviorment, I really raise flags,,kind of like religion,some say....Don't push it and things will be O.K. Ya right,,this crap's not going away,,nor is the Muslim's
Anyone that really knows me,,know I'm hard headed,,I don't go to church, I should but don't,,,I got way past tired of being persicuted by so-called christians doing the same or worse than me. I belive in God their is a God,,Man ain't smart enough to build heaven and earth,,man has a hard enough time not screwing up what he's built...May God be with us All...
If you've never prayed a prayer in your life ,,,now might just be the time to learn,,,,,its real hard to put your trust in something ya can't see,,,no matter how bad life has sucked for me,,I'm still alive and working< which i cuss sometimes>, but we're all here for a reason,,,use life wisely,,not squander like I have with my young life,,,,, Hindsight 's 20/20,,,maybe someone older has good advice,,,at my age their getting fewer,,"Pay Attention To Detail" on everything our Government does,,,,hope ya have a nice life as possible,,,,,,,,,,,later
