Wayne's Story
Wayne is from Dubuque, Iowa. He is married with Jim Lynch. His schools include Hempstead High School. He later attended Luther College (Psycholobiology). He works(ed) at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, Starbucks, St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church.
Wayne's interests include Eleventh Doctor. Music he likes includes Mistletones, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Glass Onion. Books he likes include Beautiful Minds, Being Gay Becoming Gray - With Passion, Beauty and a Sense of Adventure. Movies he likes include Repo! The Genetic Opera, Star Wars, Babygirl. TV shows he likes include Tamron Hall, Anderson Cooper 360, The Doctor Who Hub.

Graduated HS in 1983 from Hempstead HS.
Went to Luther College in Decorah, IA in 1987
Worked in Dubuque for a year.
Went to UNI 1988-1990
Got my MA in Psychology in 1994. (Masters Thesis was hell!)
Worked at EWALU Bible Camp on summers 1986-1990.
Worked at Kreider Services in Dixon, IL 1991-1992.
Worked for IL Dept. of Mental Health, Jack Mabley Center in Dixon, IL 1992-1996
Went to Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, 1996-2000
Did an internship in Muskegon, MI Aug 1998- Aug 1999.

Took a mental health year off. (Long story)
Worked in Dubuque. Spent the summer with Doug and Colleen Piehl in Spokane, WA. Had a great time! I will forever be in debt to them for that!
Received a call to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lansing MI in 2003.
Came to the self understanding that the reason I couldn't find the "right woman" was because the "right woman" was a man. His name is Jim Lynch and he is a pastor with the Metropolitan Community Churches.
Left Bethlehem and the ELCA in 2006
Was accepted into the Episcopal Church in December 2006.
Worked various jobs while (unofficially) interning at Episcopal churches. Worked way too long for Starbucks. Ten years of college to earn $8.50/hr was quite humbling.
I was Priest in Residence at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Mason, MI until Feb. 2010. I worked at Starbucks until January, 2010 trying to make ends meet.
I was at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Livonia, MI as Priest in Charge. The church closed in May of 2011. Now I am looking for a new call while doing pulpit supply. I also have a small stained glass business through Facebook. (Check out "Wayne's Panes")
Jim is semi-retired. He is on staff at MCC Detroit and also keeps me pointed in the proper direction! (That, in itself, is a full-time job!)
We now live in Roseville, MI, with Claudia and Velma the cats.
Jim and I officially got married on Jan 2, 2012 in Iowa 'cause it is legal there!".
