Charles's Story

Life I didn't really graduated from Mount Holyoke. But I'm looking for a past girlfriend, Deborah Lines (Debbie). We dated the last two years at Mahwah Hi School in New Jersey, and she went to Mount Holyoke. I went to Wake Forest University in North Carolina. We corresponded for the first three years of college, but I didn't have a way to support us and broke off my relationship with Debbie. I've been married for 31 years, mostly happy, and have a 24-year-old daughter. I've been living in Bowling Green, KY the past 31 years. I was just trying to get back in touch with Debbie Lines. If anyone knows about her, e-mail, address, or phone number of, could you let me know? Or you could send this information to her to see if she wanted to get back in touch with me. I know that Debbie had a younger brother and their old house was very close to the "new" golf course, build about 1968, in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. The rest of the story: I received my bachelor of science degree at Wake Forest College. I was interested in medicine and religion. I almost had a nervous breakdown at the end of college studying premed, so I went to Andover Newton Theological School near Boston. I finished 1 1/2 years there, decided the ministry was not for me and accepted/went into the Army since I had been commissioned a second lieutenant, being in ROTC at Wake Forest. I spent about two years in the states and last was with 101st Airborne Division at For Campbell, Kentucky. The Vietnam war ended, and I left the Army. I did not want to go farther north than southern Ohio due to the ice and snow. I stayed in Kentucky and received ...Expand for more
a masters degree in clinical psychology at Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I worked 7 years in the local mental health outpatient clinic in Bowling Green. I met my wife at a family therapy conference in Kentucky. We dated for about six months and then got married in St. Paul, Minnesota. I then went back to school to get my doctorate degree in clinical psychology at Nova Southeast University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I did a one-year internship in Rochester, New York working with severely emotionally disturbed children. We had rented our home during the four years we were away. We came back to Bowling Green, Kentucky with our six month old daughter. I began working at the local psychiatric hospital. I did this for 9 years. I had a severe bout of clinical depression and was helped significantly with antidepressant medication. I started working again, doing some private practice. I then started working the State of Kentucky at a state operated, inpatient treatment center for juvenile delinquent adolescents. I have been doing this for the past 11 years. One day a week I also worked at a local Job Corps center handling the emotional problems of the students there. I've continued to have a small private practice on Fridays. My wife and I been living in the same house for the past 30 years. We have a guest bedroom, so if you're in the area, please let us know, stop by to visit. She's our daughter, Emily, is now in California. She got her degree at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon in anthropology. She still trying to figure out her next step in life. Chuck Webb.
