Patricia's Story
Back in the day I was Trish Webb. I Mostly hung out with my sister, Cathy, Kelly Johnston, Sheila Fennelly, Betsy and Marilyn. I don't remember Betsy and Marilyn's last names. Kelly told me several years ago that Betsy died. Very sad. Betsy was beautiful and super funny and had a nice Camaro that was all of our go-to vehicle back in HS until Sheila got her baby blue Pinto!. I was fairly quiet and kept to myself without having joined any clubs or sports. No official boyfriends (however) I had huge crush Jeff McAffrey. I mostly hung out with guys that were out of high school. My favorite teacher was Mr. Dawson (English) and I lived in San Antonio Village up off of Calle Real. Ian Brown lived there too but he passed away in a devastating car accident. Mark Suarez lived there and so did a few other kids I can't remember their names. We all hung out from time to time and it was good fun. Steve Pualoa was part of the gang since he was my sister's bf. Once, in English class, we were asked to describe the people in the class. I recall the following adjectives about me: Hippie, Stoner (definitely true back then!), Cool, Quiet, Nice Hair! Nowadays, I'm absolutely still cool...Expand for more
, no grey hair (yet) well, maybe a few here and there! No longer a stoner at the age of 57 and 'quiet' is definitely not an adjective people use about me anymore. I was married right out of HS and had 2 sons before I was 25. That marriage fell apart and I would marry again in 1990 to an idiot loser in Ojai. After 10 years and two more kids that finally dissolved. 4 kids and single wasn't a great source of pride but I've always managed to have excellent employment in the world of finance. In 2002 I met a real man that I actually have respect for. Denis and I have been married for 12 years and live in Prescott, AZ. Had he been my first husband, he would have been the last - but oh the lessons I have learned over the years while figuring things out. 6 children between us but none together. High school wasn't a good time for me as I grew up in NJ then I was thrust into CA at the age of 14 while the parents were splitting up. Nowadays, Happily married, gainfully employed (for 5 more yrs until I retire). My kids have some excellent things going on mixed with some not so cool things. Such is life. We take each day one at a time praying that everyone is okay in the end.
