Weldon's Story
Life
My wife Judy and I live in El Salvador and work as missionaries. We moved here about two years ago after serving as youth pastors in Texas for 8 years. We do medical clinics in some of the poorer communities, Judy is an RN and I was a paramedic for 15 years. This year we've also been working with water purification projects in these communities as well. We help with a children's home run by an ex-prostitute, in which most of the kids are children of prostitutes, of which there is an abundance in El Salvador. st of the time. We also have a church for young people, 18-30 yr olds, and they let me play my guitar in the worship band, which I really enjoy doing. We are going into the studio in a few weeks to record a worship cd. My two children, Cody and Cady, are grown and now live in Colorado Springs, but Cady is moving here in June. She has a degree from ORU in Spanish and missions. Our first grandchild, Cale, was born in January to Cody and our daughter-in-law Tina. We are learning to speak Spanish, but ever so slowly. At this age learning a new language is a big thing but we're getting there.
