Wendy's Story
My name is Wendy Pettis-Smith and I live in Canandaigua. I have 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 princess(girl)! Jake is 16 a junior at CDGA Academy and getting ready to get his license!!! OMG(: Katie is 13 in 8th grd., Jared is 9 in 4th grd., and Jayden(a boy)is 6 in kndrgrdn. I have been married for 20 years and this is not what I thought I was going to end up being, a stay at home mom! However it is everything you could dream of and MORE! I am the executive of this "operation" here on Emerson Rd. in Canandaigua! I married one of the great grandsons of William Muar, who for those of you who don't know, was the founder of Roseland Amusement Park; his name is Dave and he is, besides my best friend, and my high school sweetheart, thee most loyal man I have ever known and he is still sweet AND thoughtful after being together for 23 years.
I always wanted to be a psychologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right.Last May 2009, my father passed away from a "rare" liver cancer): He was only 59! My family is EXTREMELY broken hearted. They say that you don't know what you've got, till' it's gone, and that is a VERY true st...Expand for more
atement!!! Life is short, enjoy it while you can; love and cherish your friends and family because you never know when ....
The void he has left is enormous, and when a heart breaks, it doesn't break even): THANK GOD for good friends and family(:
I will never forget how incredible my middle school years were at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Rochester. The people that lived in the 19th ward by the Rochester Airport were amazing people!! Thanks for the memories! My father was a HUGE part of my life back then because my mom worked/works nights at Strong Memorial Hosp.(still now 2010) and how I long for those days again, I MISS my dad so-oooo much it hurts):
My hero is my dad(: He was a man who took care of my sister and myself while my mom worked nights so we could have a good life. My parents gave up their marriage so my sister and I had someone at home with us day or night! They thought that they were going to get to be together full time after they retired and travel kind if pick up so to speak where they left off before my mom had me! The lesson there or here is this, enjoy life every chance you get because there are NO guarantees that there will be a tomorrow!!!!
