My maiden name was Wendy Slotnikoff .I lived and worked for Synanon- the first drug rehab therapeutic community in the world incorporated 50 years ago in Sept 1958.. and just celebrated its 50 year anniversary of the idea in Los Angeles ...with over 300 people who had that experience.
For better or for worse, it was the best experience of my life for 15 years and shaped so much of who I am.
