Wendy Steele:

CLASS OF 1987

Wendy's Story

Life Hello from the Valley of the Sun! Yes, I made the break and moved by myself with my pets in 2004 from Elkhart to sunny and warm (oh about 110 in the summer) Phoenix Arizona. On a part time basis, I have owned my own professional in-your-home pet sitting service for going on seven years now. I'm insured, bonded, and accredited. I spent eight years before I moved from Elkhart being a very active volunteer with the Elkhart County Humane Society. I fostered and adopted out over 200 animals, was an assistant clicker training obedience instuctor, and an adopt a pet coordinator. Whew! A lot of time well spent and a very rewarding experience. y path to doing my pet sitting work. As much as I would love to do this work full time, right now it is not possible. Although, being in Phoenix has allowed me to spread my wings a bit and make a lot more money doing it. So, full time, I work in inventory control for a lumber and steel reload company. When I'm not working, I hit the mountains, high and low around Arizona with my 7 1/2 year old Aussie mix, Sadie. Hiking, taking nature pictures, practicing yoga when I can, cuddling with my cats and just enjoying life is where you'll find me. Hope to see and hear from some of you from the class of 87 as we are nearing our 20th year reunion! Slainte! (Cheers & Good Health)
