Wendy's Story
Life
I graduated from college with a diploma in Surgical Technology. I started working in South Carolina at Beaufort Memorial Hopsital and then in Washington State at Providence Medical Center (currently 08/2011). In both places of employment I have worked in Labor and Delivery in the operating room. I enjoy my work and I am ready to further my education and acheive a degree in Midwifery. This was a long time coming and I should have done it years ago, but I thought I had to stay home with my son. Never thought it was possible to do two things at one time. Now I know I can!
I have moved back to Washngton State in 2010 after 15+ years in the south, and I am not sure I like what I moved to, after being in the heat and no snow. Thinking I made a huge mistake, and thinking I might just move back to South Carolina.
I divorced, several years ago. I have not really dated since then. Kara (my oldest and adopted out...Expand for more
), graduated college in May 2008. My youngest, Amanda, daughter graduated college in December 2006. My son, Zachary has not been to college as of yet (has intentions of going to school though). Amanda (my youngest) has made me a proud grandmother, of Ian Neil Allen on March 10, 2010.
For fun I like to play pool (eight ball), race my four wheeler, boating, camping, and fish. I also like to spend a lot of time by myself. In pool I have been playing since I moved here and play pretty good now (I didn't know how to play when I started). I have been to Las Vegas, to play as a team (in tournament) and lost, but the experience was great. This was one of my goals. I am very excited to have been able to go. I do not have a lot of time for this stuff right now. so, I enjoy it when I can.
I now live by myself and love it. I am almost where I want to be in life. I am very proud of the choices I have made. No regrets!
