Wenonah's Story
I got a PhD in anthropology at the U. of Texas, Austin, and did fieldwork in Pakistan, The Cook Islands and Manchester, UK. I retired and have been writing fiction. I'm married, have two children and four grandchildren. I lived (and worked) in Montreal and Calgary, in Canada, and now live in the UK.
I read, walk the dog, garden. I'm a good cook, a bad housekeeper. Too many books, too many papers, too much furniture, makes it hard to keep a tidy house. Both my husband and I have trouble throwing things away. Yes, it'a a worn out shirt, but sometimes you want to wear a worn out, raggedy shirt - when waxing floors, or diggi...Expand for more
ng the garden, or changing the oil in the car. (The last is a joke. theoretically, I could change the oil in my car. I don't. My husband did once. He saved £5. and drained it into a £60. roasting pan from the kitchen. Not cost effective.)
I'm afraid this site is not at all cost effective. Very few people I know are on it. I can't find out anything about the ones that didn't join. I went to a reunion 5 or 6 years ago and it was fun. I saw some people I liked a lot in high school and still liked them fifty years later. I discovered some disliked me then and didn't like me now, either. Since I never noticed, I don't care.
