Wes's Story
Life
After high school I moved to Arizona where I still live about 25 miles southeast of Phoenix in Gilbert.
In 1979 I started as a firefighter with the City of Phoenix. I have been there since, I'm a Captain on Battalion 5 in south-central Phoenix. I've also been a Paramedic since 1982. I teach classes and write promotional exams for the fire service through my own "side" company, Spitfire Fire Training. I also taught for 11 years at Mesa Community College in the Fire Science Department.

s Jamie. We have 4 children. My oldest girls are 28 (Tiffanie) and 24 (Stacia) and are married and out of the house. I also have a 21 y/o boy (Brendon) who is out on his own and an adopted 10 y/o girl (Cierra). I have four grandchildren, Jacquie (4), Emma (4), Gavin (2 1/2)and Chloe (3 months).
My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, my new car a 2006 Mustang GT convertible, golf, camping (especially on the beach in Mexico), hunting, fishing, SCUBA diving, watching my beloved Arizona Diamondbacks, and working in the yard.
