Wesley's Story
I went to Central Catholic High not knowing what type of people went to a parochial school. Primarily my fathers ambition to get me a higher type education and then go to college. But when I went there, the people were different and I did not fit in. So I finished my Freshman and then tried it again for my Sophomore year. I then went to Edison High School. Basically I got stupid and dropped out prior to my graduation from Edison. I goofed around then decided to complete my High School at Robert E Lee. in 1973. I should've graduated in 1972. I got married to my High school sweetheart then after acquiring a son, divorced. Anyways to make a long story short, I acquired some more education, joined the military became a pilot, went to different places like El Salvador (during their rough years) 1980 -1987, Got remarried, then went to Beirut 1987 through 1991, Gulf War/Operation Provide Comfort in Iraq 1991-1994 then went to Fort Bliss Tx. I then retired from the military and joined the police department for a while. My second wife is still a Federal Agent. I was a cop from 1995 through 2002 and went through a divorce. I became a medevac helicopter pilot in Las Cruces NM and resigned the fo...Expand for more
llowing year. I thought I was going to get back with the Ex but it didn't work out. I had moved to Chicago for that reason . However my ex and I are still friends ( thank god since we didn't cheat on each other). I went to Iraq as a civilian contractor for the Iraqi sequel to the first war. Been there since 2003 and just got back April 2008. Because of my travels, etc, I outlived all my relatives (funny how that turned out) and I have one son. He and I became estranged. I just resigned from my employment.....I did not feel like going back to Baghdad Iraq....the grass roots movement is taking hold now. I'm starting up a business which will be pre employment investigation and back ground checks....I'm not letting my talent from the police department go to waste. The attrition rate of my peers in Baghdad and Afghanistan is pretty high so there is a high demand for Police Officers to help train the poor citizens out there. Just to keep active, I began work as Production Manager for Central States here in Chicago Land....just trying to keep busy.....Work 4 days on and three days off....Kind of boring but it keeps me occupied... I guess my mercenary life style has come to an end at this point.
