The mountains are calling me
Chillin on the Horsetooth Rock Trail, Ft. Collins, CO.
Drove up to Flagstaff to get out of the heat. It was 95 degrees at 8300 feet. This seems to be the new reality. All of my hikes up in the Payson area have also been shockingly hot this year.
Wow, more than 3 inches of Glorious Rain in one day! If I didn't have to work, I would have been out in it. The open space beside my home has filled up with four feet of water. If only I had a kayak. 🌧🌧🌧🥳
My cousin Marcus was kind enough to mail me some Trinidad Scorpion Peppers that he grew in his garden. I foresee some serious pain in my future. 🥵

I spent the day yesterday hiking in the Catalina Mountains. It was my first time back since the devastating Big Horn Fire last summer. As this map shows, almost all of the higher elevation areas of the Catalina Mountains
For the majority of people that come in contact with Covid-19, the symptoms are mild or minimal. So I watch Covid-19 hospitalizations. Those are the people that are quite ill. In the summer Arizona hit a high of 3,500.

The side effects from that Pfizer vaccine can be pretty serious. I didn't have much after the first does. But the day after getting the second dose I starting thinking it might be safe to be around people again.
