Sandra's Story
I am a genealogist and autor living in Texas. My favorite pastime is writing short stories about people for a local magazine called the Schertz Tales and our yearly devotional book our church publishes every Christmas.
Traveling to different states, cities, and counties to find out about my ancestors is high on my list of wanting to do.
Married for 25 years and have been blessed with six children, seventeen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. God said be fruitful and multiply and I did my best!
My husband is retired Air Force so I have had the privilige of accompanying him on many assignments some of which have been overseas. Then again moving around is nothing new to me because my father was in the Army. Every two years it was a new assignment...Expand for more
and making new friends.
I have one grandson graduating soon from Army boot camp that I will be visiting for his graduation. All of the grandchildren are growing up and starting lives of their own. Looking forward to many great grandchildren!
I'm in the middle of editing my first novel (about spousal abuse) and hope to have it finished by the end of the year.
There is never enough time to write! Life is too busy!
Since my life has gotten so busy with writing I've stepped down as queen of my red hat group and moved to the vice queen position.
It's been fun meeting up with friends from high school and sharing our stories since school. We get so wrapped up in our own lives we tend to forget about others in our past we shared a common bond with.
