Life
After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1971, I served 30 years in nuclear submarines. I was privileged to command both a nuclear attack and later a Trident nuclear ballistic missile submarine. now a high school science teacher at an at-risk high school here in the Las Vegas area. Margaret (Shepard) and I are married 29 years now. We have one child - Dan, now 24, a 2001 Naval Academy graduate and currently serving as a junior officer aboard a ballistic missile submarine. We live in Henderson, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas.
