Life
After H.S. I went to MHCC, worked, graduated from PSU with a BS in business. Continued to date Blaine, and we married 3/17/79. I had worked part time for UPS while in college, and went full time driving in '80. I still drive, and plan to retire in 2015. Along the way we had a daughter Jennie 3/13/81, and a son Eric 6/13/82. They graduated from Barlow in '99 and 2000. They both really liked Barlow. Jennie graduated from OSU, majoring in Zoology with a minor in Chem and a 3.95 GPA. Eric graduated from OSU majoring in Environmental health and safety with a 3.50+. If it sounds like I'm proud of them, I am, and maybe I'm bragging too. Blaine is an aide in a Kindergarten class in the Gresham schools and has really enjoyed it. She has lots of funny stories, but the kids do wear her down sometimes. We've done some traveling. We return to Hawaii fairly often. Spent a week in Paris and are hoping to make a trip to Germany next summer. ...Expand for more
10-20-10 I've been updating this. We did go to Germany. We did a tour that included Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Venice. It was all pretty amazing especially Venice, Rottenburg, and Zermatt. We also did a tour of Great Britain and Ireland that was fun too. Jennie and Eric both got married a year ago, Jennie to Derak Richard 7-12-09 & Eric to Crissy Case 7-18-09. That was a crazy fun week.
5/8/22 New update. Blaine and I still going strong. Jennie has 2 kids, Eric has 3. Both live in town, so we get to see the grandkids, ages 3-10, often. Blaine and I spent a couple weeks in Italy in 2011. Rome, the Cinque Terre and a week in Tuscany were the highlights. Blaine retired that year. 2013 we bought a house on Fairview Lake. Great to get the kids over here to paddle board, kayak or whatever. I retired from UPS January 2019; 40 years was enough. We have cut down on the traveling, to be around grandkids and relax at home.
