William's Story
Life
Living and working in Montgomery, Alabama. I am an active duty officer working at the Army National Guard headquarters. I am the admin/budget officer for the Information Management department. Rita and I have been married since 1989, one year after graduation. Our twins, Lyndsey and Michael are 15 years old. Last year, we adopted Giovanna, a two-year old from Guatemala. Just recently, we adopted a four-month old from Trinidad. Obviously, we are quite busy. My sister, aunt, and uncle still live in Chipley. I stop by once a year to see them!
College

t night. I worked at Russell in Marianna. We moved to Tallahassee in 1995. I contacted Chipola for a transcript so I could finish my AS degree. Come to find out, I had enough credits for it, and they sent it to me in the mail. Several times, I have contemplated finishing my BS degree, but I haven't taken the plunge yet!
Workplace
I've been working full time for the National Guard since 1991. I transferred from FL to AL in 2000. I've always worked in the personnel/administative field. I was appointed as a Warrant Officer in 2003. Since March, 2005, I've been serving as the budget officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff of Information Management. It's quite challenging. I manage a budget of almost 4 million dollars. Prior to March, I worked in the recruiting department as an Officer recruiter and Automation NCO.
