William's Story
I still live in East Wenatchee. I still work for the Forest Service, but I am currently on a detail as an USDA Ag. Advisor to a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan. I'm working in Eastern Afghanistan, right next to the Pakistani border. I am embedded in a military unit that is helping the Afghans to reconstruct their country. Cam home at the end of 2007.
Retired from Forest Service in 2008. Went back to Afghanistan in 2009 with the Foriegn Ag. Service. Did not stay too long this time. Too many IED's and RPG's missing the MRAP I was in. Decided it was time to come home.
