William's Story

Life While in the Military, I Was Married for a brief time. I was blessed with 3 wonderful kids (1 Boy, 2 Girls). I was left to raise 2 of the 3 kids as a single parent. I remained a single parent for over 16 years. This is one of the reasons i decided to end my Military career early. So i could spent more time growing together with them. I was very involved with their Schooling and everyday life. We did everything together from Going on trips to sports to proms and graduation. My kids worked hard to make me a very proud parent. During their High School years i was close to most of their Teachers and the School Staff. I spent a lot of my off time at the High School helping out with whatever i could. I also attended every sporting event my kids joined. I helped out with every prom they went to and Graduation was my proudest moment. (Yea, I cried some). I had a couple of relationships along the way however, when the word marriage came up i got scared and they ended it and left. In 1996 I met my wife. She to, was bringing up 3 of her 5 kids as a single parent. (3 Girls) Bonnie and I helped each other raising 5 kids to adulthood and we had a lot of fun. We lived together for 10 years before i married her in 2006. We have 1 Girl left to Graduate and she will be starting her senior year soon. My Son is in the Marine Corps and stationed in California. My 2 Girls live and work in California. They all come to Pennsylvania and visit several times a year. Bonnie's Girl's all live and work here in Pennsylvania and are here just about every weekend. We now have 7 Grandchildren and were sure there will be more later on down the line. I have one saying in life............LIVE HARD, WORK HARD, and PLAY HARD the rewards are priceless. I own 2 homes one of which i rent. I bought a new home out in the country a few years back. I love the wide open space and a great place for the Grandchildren to run around. We are 2 miles from the closest town so, we are not to far out in the country but, very comfortable. I love the Appalachian Mountians and Country Side along with the Dutch and Amish people who live around here. The Spring and Fall here make the land just breathtaking. Pennsylvania is a really great place to live. School I know i didn't Graduate from Moorseville but, I was a class of 76 classmate from the 7th grade thru the 10th grade. My father was transfered in his job and we moved to monrovia. I never wanted to move from Moorseville but, I had no choice. I attended Monrovia and was very ...Expand for more

I had made a lot of friends and Played a lot of Football there. Everytime I look back at my High School years i see you..Moorseville Class of "76". I was stationed in Hawaii and went back to High School to complete my studys and Graduated there and received my High School Diploma from The St Louis High School Honolulu, Hawaii. College I took some classes while in the Military from the San Diego State university and San Diego community college. Workplace I had taken 2 cousres while in the Military. One in Sales and Marketing. One in Persuaive communications. I had been a Navy Recuriter for 2 years. I liked the job in Sales and decided to take on a job in that field. In 1989 i joined the Coca Cola Bottling Company and worked for them as a route Salesman for 7 years. The last 4 years of that job i put my resume in with the Pepsi Cola company and kept knocking on their door until it finally opened. I joined the Pepsi Cola company in 1997. The pay and benefits were nearly double what Coca Cola provided. I work in the Sales and Marketing division for Pepsi Cola and will be soon starting my 12th year. My future plans are to continue until retirement. I also worked as a Professional Photographer for the Bernisky studio part time from 1996 to 2001. The owner had passed in 2001 and the studio closed. I did Weddings, Reunions, School Pictures, School Sports, Senior Pictures for yearbooks. Plus many other events in the community. Photography is one of my hobby's i have been doing for years. Military I dropped from School in 1975 and joined the Navy. I left for Boot Camp in Feb.1975. I did almost 15 years in the Navy. I traveled around the world twice visiting many different country's and nation's. I was in the Navy's engineering department and served aboard 5 different navy ships. I did 2 shore assigments. I did 3 years as a Military Police Officer I Graduated in the top 5 of the San Diego California Military Police Academy. I did 2 years as a Navy Recuriter attending classes in Sales and Communicatios and Public speaking. I completed my High School education and took several courses on the side while i in. I later decided it was time to set my sights in a higher direction and left the Navy in 89. I was honorably Discharged at the Rank of Chief Petty Officer. (E-7).
