William's Story

I was born and raised a military dependent and graduated in 1973 from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Although Arlington is the school I graduated from Johnson High School, Johnson AFB, Japan is my true high school Alma Mater. Later to attend Business College in Seattle, Washington I studied to become a Computer Programmer and over the last twenty five years I worked in the computer consulting field and later obtained a BS in Computer Science and then my Masters in Information Technology. I was baptized Methodist at the age of four and my wife (Diane) Seven Day Adventist. But we decided to walk the RED PATH in order to expand our spiritual awareness. For most of our past time activities were devoted to the studies of spiritual science. We attended countless seminars, and read many books learning from many well known spiritual consultants in that field of science such as Esther and Jerry Hicks, Robert Schuller, Bob Proctor, Marianne Williamson, and Depka Chopra and they are amongst the few. Others are Bert Rooks, Mike Littleboy, Godfrey Chips, and Richard Moves Camp of the Sioux Lakota Nation. I have spent time over in India visiting the temples, and studing the history of Christianity from the Vedic science. Starting with the Bagava-gita,then to the Koran and forward to the Bible and even today New Thought - Which in absolute is old thought. I have found that all these studies has one thing in common. They all refer to the same God. So why is there Literally thousands of religions but one God? In my continued reseach I have found out that my blood line is white, black, and Native American. My wife (Diane) blood line is white, black, East Indian, a...Expand for more
nd Native American. I have spent time in India visiting the temples, but what is of most value to me is that since our blood line is mixed with Native American my wife and I has both, with great pride, spent the last 15 years studying the ways of the Lakota cultural traditions under Bert Rooks (a true teacher of the sacred ways of the Sioux (Lakota) Nation), and are carriers of the Chanupa (The Scared Pipe of the Lakota people). I have participated in Right of Passage Ceremonies, Vision Quest, Scared Healing Ceremonies, and danced the 4 year dance of the Lakota People Sacred Sun Dance. To this day we continue to attend Sweat Lodges (inipi) with our very close friends Drew and Peggy Sterchi in Cloudland, GA. I have learned to live life from the heart of my being. I understand the way of the Native American when they say, 'We are all related.' In body mine and spirit. Their is only one Father that guides us all as one family. My prayer is that one day we will all see and know the same. Then treat each other in accordance. No, I am not a religious nut. But I have come to know Spirit. I love to have fun, and party with all of my brothers and sisters - without the boundaries of race, creed, color or nationality. Life is meant to be lived, not survived, but thrived. It is the only way by which we truly come to know and respect each other. It is time for us as the world citizens to stop talking about making a change and do it; If not for our sake, for our children and their children for they are the future husbandmen of the world. For sure for the last 30 years walking the RED PATH have been a great education to me, and I am looking forward to the next 30 year.
