William's Story
I finished at SHS in 1967 a year behind brother Dan. Attended Armstrong State for year and then went to UGA finishing up a BS in Forestry Resources in 1971. After brief stints with Boy Scouts of America and K Mart Sporting Goods, was hired by Union Camp as forester. Held several different positions, went to night school and earned MBA in 1989. adison, MS for four years, then back to Savannah and finally to Memphis in 2005. Left after IP disposed of land base in Dec 06. Was Assistant State Forester of Alabama for two years and finally have retired back in Savannah in Oct 2009.
Live here in Southbridge with wife Judy, have two sons and two beautiful grand daughters that are close by. Spend time doing home repairs, fishing, and otherwise enjoying retirement doing things the way I want when I want!
