William's Story
After graduation, I worked with my dad at his photography studio (Sandlin Studio) in Columbus. I worked there for about a year and then I went into the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. I then went to work for LithoKrome - worked there for 37 years and retired in 2006. I was married to Pat(Finney)for 40 years - she passed away in January 2006.
I now enjoy my retirement -
I enjoy dining out, dancing (Single's Club and the VFW), watching TV, gardening - and other things (haha). I try to walk at Cooper Creek at least 3 times a week. I am in good health and I attend Third Day Baptist Church.
In 1997, I joined the Columbus Guards, a Confederate Reenactment company. I've been all over the So...Expand for more
uth at different reenactments. I'm not as active as I used to be - but I still participate in memorial services honoring Confederate soldiers.
I have 2 sons (Scott and Sean)and 5 beautiful grandchildren - who all give me great pleasure.
I have just purchased a computer - and have suffered many headaches learning how to use it! Hard to teach an old dog new tricks...but my teacher is doing her best to help me.
I meet with my "Baker Buddies" at Ryan's Steak House about every other month - we have good food and great fellowship.
I enjoyed our recent 50th Reunion and it was great seeing my many friends and remembering good times. I hope to be around for the next one and hope to see you there.
