Life
Hi to all the folks from the Heights,
Change is a constant in life as I am sure any of you who have visited my profile have experienced in your own lives after all these years. As we age we tend to look back more at our past than the future as there are so many wonderful memories with the dips of hard times and even some tragic ones but such is life. However, we all need to keep moving on and remain positive even in difficult times such as these with a pandemic, political turmoil and constant day to day health challenges that at times may seem endless. Yet, with all this social media noise around us it is time more than ever to focus on all the good in life that we have lived and experienced.. Enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons, the sounds during a walk in the woods, the crashing of the waves on the Jersey shore, or just the piece you enjoy in your yard.;most importantly sharing time with your loved ones, spouses, partners, children and grandchildren. Personally, I have been very fortunate having been retired now for 5 years in relative good health and living near my favorite place the Jersey .Shore. I loved growing up in the heights in Jersey City, used to live right by Tippy's on Kennedy Boulevard, spent many days playing stick ball, touch football, little league with a great group of guys from the neighborhood from Charles street all the way up to Congress avenue. Really enjoyed my 4 years at DHS with special memories of some great teachers, study bre...Expand for more
aks in the auditorium, hanging with my friends from the Honors group, having a great year playing JV baseball for a terrific coach and spending most of my last year with a special girl named Elaine. Needless to say college life and the whole remaining 60's experience was mind blowing and mind expanding in a good way. Had the time of my life and was an indelible life changing experience. Rutgers was a great school and will always be one of my greatest experiences. My work life was as interesting, challenging and stressful as hell but that is all part of the game. I was fortunate to work and consult for some of the top corporations of our time-AT&T-many consulting assignments in Basking Ridge, all the major pharmaceuticals J&J, Pfizer and Merck, Bloomberg on Park Avenue, NBC corp. headquarters at 30 Rock, NJ Horizon Blue Cross in Newark and the finishing my career prematurely with the State of NJ in Trenton due to the emergence of Parkinsons Disease. Such is life. Overall, I have a great wife, two very successful sons and three beautiful and loving grandchildren. I have lost over the years a number of special friends as we all have and only give thanks for still being relatively healthy even with the Parkinsons issues and other off and on ailments. I just give thanks for all the incredible memories and the opportunity to create even more new ones with the help from the Big guy or Gal above. I honestly wish any of my former high school friends all the very best of health, happiness and love.
