William Bott:

CLASS OF 2000
Suffolk, VA

William's Story

Life I graduated Nansemond River High School in 2000 (at the age of 17) and then joined the US Air Force. After being in the military for over a year, I received a medical discharge (Honorable) from Security Forces. Those that know me will see the irony in my being in Security Forces. Later, I joined a new corporation, which I left 4 months later due to the failure of management to keep the business successful. I've lived in Las Vegas, Provo, Orem, Suffolk, Norfolk, San Antonio, Nimmons, Monterey, and Ukiah. Those cities are in Virginia, Nevada, Utah, California, Texas, and Arkansas. I am currently working on writing young adult fiction books and hip-hop lyrics. Right now, I have a career as a freelance Internet business consultant. I became a casino dealer now, though, and tutor a couple of people from the casino in Advanced Statistical Analysis, for $20 per hour. I am studying Wicca. I want to become a Gold Member, but I don't have a credit card, so I'm stuck being a basic member. :P If I get a credit card or somehow become Gold, there are a few people on here I want to email, including Mister Dan Smalt III. :P I have some questions for you... met many people with whom I wish I could have spent more time. A number of you were people I considered good friends, although I would have been around you all more if I could have been. I was on the Academic Team each year I was a full-time high school student, ending my Academic Team career having been voted the MVP 2 years and being the Team Captain in my senior year. I was on the tennis team for a short time. I did not see eye to eye with the tennis coach, but it was largely my own fault. I wish Mr. Mabrey the best of luck in his endeavors. There were also several teachers and other adults in the school that shaped my environment. Ms. Burton, Ms. Cox, Mr. Parker, Ms. Martin, Ms. Stinnette, Ms. Lowe, Mrs. Carrington, Ms. Handy, Ms. Short, and, of course, Mr. Andre Stevenson. Thank you to all of you and my other teachers. After this long, it is not easy to recall every name. Some students I would like to thank are Steve Faulk, Dan Smalt, Chris Sheffield, Josh Wilson, and James Saunders. All of you, except Steve, were good friends. The reason I thank Steve is that, after dealing with him and some of the bullies there for a couple of years, military boot camp was a piece of cake.
