William's Story
I've been living in Livermore, CA since 2000 and working for Lawrence Livermore National Lab. I'm a mechanical engineer on the National Ignition Facility... it's a massive laser project that will generate fusion energy by heating hydrogen to 100 million degrees.
My wife, Rachel, and I have owned our home in Livermore since 2000. We have two beautiful daughters: Kyra (born in 1999) and Kinsey (born in 2003). Rachel works as a product development chemist for Clorox in Pleasanton. Between work and raising two very active girls, we are busy all the time.

tography. After 10 years in LA, I especially appreciate the East Bay Regional Park lands that help keep the Bay Area so beautiful. We also enjoy vacationing and travelling all over the country.
Some history:
1987-1991: Harvey Mudd College (majored in Engineering, and met Rachel!)
1991-1992: Stanford (M.S. degree)
1993: Got married in Colorado Springs
1992-1997: Lived in LA working for Northrop Grumman and then TRW on aircraft and satellite engineering
1997-2000: Lived in Fremont, CA and worked for Lockheed Martin on satellites
2000-now: Living in Livermore and working for LLNL
