William's Story

I've lived in Albuquerque since 1976, not counting a stint in the Air Force from '69 to '71. Got my BS in meteorology from Penn State in 1969, worked as a forecaster, researcher and weather instructor. Went to work in '72 for a cloud physics company in Boulder, CO and projects in Alaska, Kansas and Sun Valley. My first TV job was at WPTA-TV in Ft. Wayne, then to ABQ in 1976 at the NBC affiliate for the next 20 years. Got fired in '96 and wor...Expand for more
ked in various jobs, including part-time weather at another station for a few years. I ran my own ignition interlock business for 3 years and finally was a blackjack dealer until I retired in the summer of 2008. I have three sons, one grown up and living in Seattle, one a student at NYU (Charlie just graduated in May, majored in economic theory) and a high schooler, 18, (who just graduated, and will be studying music at Loyola New Orleans).
